FAMILY STRENGTHENING SERVICES

Working with families to build strong foundations and healthy relationships.

PREGNANCY AND PARENTING SUPPORT

Becoming a parent is the hardest and most rewarding job you will ever have. Whether you are a parent by giving birth, or through adoption, the meaning itself can take on a variety of definitions. At Catholic Charities, we value the sanctity of family and understand that parenting comes in all different forms.

Through God's guidance and strength, we strive to help parents be the best they can be by offering a variety of programs including Mentoring Moms and Post Adoption Services.

Mentoring Mom

The Mentoring Moms program embraces the sanctity and dignity of life by nurturing pregnant and parenting women. We match mothers with volunteer mentors, who provide guidance and support. We also offer a network of community organizations to provide education, practical assistance and mentoring support with a focus of empowering and educating women to live their best lives.

Post Adoption Services

Through our Post Adoption Services, help is available to all members of the adoption circle; adopted persons, birth families and adoptive families. We provide ongoing support through what is often a complex and emotional journey.

If you are adopted, the search for birth relatives can be life changing. At Catholic Charities, our staff have the knowledge and expertise to advise you of Nebraska state statutes regarding search and reunion, and will act as sensitive intermediaries.

FAMILY RESOURCE CENTER

The Family Resource Center provides a culturally welcoming environment where families and individuals can gather to develop personal, educational, and family skills. Through our Family Strengthening Program, immigrant families learn about resources and positive ways to integrate into a new culture, overcome barriers and make informed decisions about their futue.

The Family Resource Center is located inside the Juan Diego Center.

SENIOR SERVICES

Catholic Charities’ Senior services address the physical, social, emotional, financial, and spiritual needs of older adults. Socialization, meals, classes, and outings are a few of the services offered to seniors in our community.

Our Senior Services is located at the St. Martin's Center. For a complete list of Senior activities, visit News & Events.
