For 96 years, Catholic Charities of Omaha has stood on the front lines, responding to crises every day. We provide essential programs and services, works of mercy that empower human dignity. As our community’s needs have grown, so have we. Throughout the past 18 months, we have served 280,500 people across all of our programs and services, and distributed over 2.8 million pounds of food. Catholic Charities ministers to the greatest and most fundamental needs of our community, serving all those in need regardless of race, religion, creed, or socioeconomic status.
For several years, our facilities have been nearing capacity. Now, they’re bursting at the seams. That’s why when we received notification that the Sheehan Center would be sold, we saw tremendous opportunity. Immediately, we began a search for a new campus to carry our mission into our next century of service. Our new facility, The Bedford Building, will allow us to serve even more people and broaden and deepen our impact in the community.
Project Mercy, A Campaign for Catholic Charities of Omaha, is raising vital funds to establish our new home, The Bedford Building, and lay the foundation for our next century of service. Renovations are currently underway at 9223 Bedford Avenue in Omaha. Our campaign goal is $6.2 Million. We're inviting you to ‘Stand with Us’ to raise the remaining $2.2 Million.
We are excited about Project Mercy and the tremendous opportunity we have right now to empower the human dignity of so many of our brothers and sisters in need. Our works of mercy are needed now more than ever and we’re looking to our friends and supporters for help.
