Special Appeals:Hunger Doesn't Take a Vacation
Catholic Charities is asking for your assistance for their Emergency Food Pantries through the campaign entitled “Hunger Doesn’t Take a Vacation.” As the Omaha area demand for food assistance increases, “Hunger Doesn’t Take a Vacation” seeks support from the broader community to meet this increased demand. Families throughout the city utilize the Emergency Food Pantries at the Juan Diego Center in South Omaha and St. Martin de Porres Center in North Omaha. These neighborhood centers in north Omaha and south Omaha provide families and individuals with food, including meat, canned and packaged food, and when available, fresh produce. Perishable food is also available on a daily basis. The pantries are supported through group collections and individual donations. We ask for your support in helping Catholic Charities provide food assistance to those in our own community who need it most, those who work hard to feed their families in these trying times.
