Individual, Couples and Family Therapy Outpatient therapy is the treatment of psychiatric and/or substance abuse disorders through scheduled therapeutic visits between the therapist and the individual. The focus of outpatient treatment is to improve or alleviate symptoms that may significantly interfere with functioning in at least one life domain (e.g., familial, social, occupational, educational, etc.). The goals, frequency and duration of outpatient treatment will vary according to individual, couple and/or family needs and response to treatment. Medication Management Medication Management is the level of outpatient treatment where the sole service rendered by a qualified physician is the evaluation of the individual's need for psychotropic medications, provision of a prescription, and ongoing medical monitoring of those medications. Community Support Catholic Charities provides this home-based outpatient level of care to the individual who needs additional assistance to successfully maintain or transition to community living. The community support provider's role is to connect individuals with existing community resources that enable clients to meet their basic needs while encouraging and supporting a lifestyle of recovery. The community support provider will meet with the client as many times each month as is necessary. A sliding fee scale is available. Recovery Support Catholic Charities Recovery Support services are consumer led and driven services that provide activities, assistance, and advocacy which promote individual recovery, socialization, support, and self-sufficiency. Catholic Charities believes that recovery support is based on the premise that peers operate from the position of experiential knowledge. They are uniquely connected with clients through mutual experiences, e.g. "I know, I've been there." Recovery specialists are often able to make recovery "real" and extend a sense of genuine hope that clients can visualize and grasp. As a result, this peer recovery support model leads to consumer-centered outcomes.
