Evaluations are typically the first step in the treatment process and help determine the most appropriate service needed. Often, an evaluation is needed in order to access further services. Catholic Charities has experienced professional staff who provide comprehensive assessment for mental health and/or substance abuse disorders. We make recommendations that assist individuals and their families to make informed decisions about needed services. Assessments average 3 hours in length and are conducted on Wednesdays starting at 7:30 am on walk-in first come first served basis at our Omaha site. Our Columbus site schedules assessments throughout the week. Fees for our Omaha assessments are based on a sliding fee scale through funding from the United Way of the Midlands. Fees for our Columbus assessments are based on a sliding fee scale through funding from Region 4.
