Empowerment
- Workshops and community discussions build knowledge and confidence, and provide opportunities to meet public officials.
- Making "the system" understandable, accessible and responsive to clients' needs is an ongoing goal.
Advocacy
- Advocacy efforts reflect the needs of our clients and those who cannot advocate for themselves.
- Research, analysis and development of positions that reflect Catholic social teaching frame advocacy at state and national levels of government. "For Catholics, public virtue is as important as private virtue in building up the common good. In the Catholic tradition, responsible citizenship is a virtue; participation in the political process is a moral obligation." US Conference of Catholic Bishops
