Catholic Charities Columbus Golf Outing Rescheduled
Event will now take place October 9th due to excessive rainfall
COLUMBUS, Nebraska —The Catholic Charities Golf Outing is postponed and is rescheduled for Friday, October 9. Heavy rains this week saturated the area, making conditions impossible for the Elks Country Club to hold the event.
The rescheduled scramble event will open Oct. 9 at 8:30 a.m., with a 10 a.m. shotgun start.
All proceeds from the tournament will go to support Catholic Charities’ vital community programs and services in Columbus, including the Columbus Senior Center. In 2014, the golf tournament raised over $14,000. A portion of the registration fee is tax-deductible.
A few spots remain open for people interested in playing the rescheduled event. For additional information, please contact Rita Clark, Events Coordinator, at firstname.lastname@example.org or (402) 829-9205. Teams can still register to participate at www.ccomaha.org.
