Programs & Locations
It is the purpose of the clinical services program of Catholic Charities to build psychologically strong and productive individuals, families and communities by applying clinical theory, expertise and technology to the treatment and prevention of psychosocial impairment and dysfunction. Clinical work entails a biopsychosocial assessment and interventions directed toward enhancing emotional functioning. Interventions can be ego supportive, cognitive, behavioral or environmental in nature.
The perspective of person-in --situation is central to the treatment process. Treatment necessitates skill in a range of interventions directed toward interpersonal dynamics, as well as toward social and systems change. Treatment is directed toward those experiencing symptoms of emotional and psychological discords such as anxiety, depression, conduct problems, addictions and or social adjustment problems. Additional services are offered to those seeking to improve their interpersonal relationships and communications with family members, coworkers or others.
