Catholic Charities' Friends & Family Program is a weekly group offering education and conversation about substance abuse for family and friends of those suffering from addiciton. The Friends and Family Program will help family members and friends understand the disease of chemical dependency and/or co-occurring disorders, the impact on the family system, and the hope and healing possible through recovery. Catholic Charities intends to have families/friends begin this program during the pre-treatment or early in the treatment process of their loved one, as we believe that families/friends must first come to grips with their own feelings and behaviors so that they can truly commit to and engage their loved one's and their family's recovery. This program will improve and enhance the engagement of families in the client's treatment and therapy, which in turn will lead to improved long term outcomes. If you:
