Family Program
Services

Catholic Charities' Friends and Family Program will help family members and friends understand the disease of chemical dependency and/or co-occurring disorders, the impact on the family system, and the hope and healing possible through recovery.

Catholic Charities intends to have families/friends begin this program during the pre-treatment or early in the treatment process of their loved one, as we believe that families/friends must first come to grips with their own feelings and behaviors so that they can truly commit to and engage their loved one's and their family's recovery.

This program will improve and enhance the engagement of families in the client's treatment and therapy, which in turn will lead to improved long term outcomes.

Friends and Family is a service that is offered once weekly for 3 hours each week.  During this time families/friends participate in:  education and support sessions; group counseling with all families in attendance; family activities with the group and their loved ones; family peer support; community engagement (Al-Anon, etc.).
